CaliwineUK was founded simply because I love Californian wines, and have done for twenty years. What really attracts me to this region is not just the quality of the wine but also the people, which is why I focus on small, low production, family run wineries, there's a great story behind each and every bottle.
The most important thing for me is to build trust with my clients which is why each bottle has been hand picked. It is my mission to visit every winery that I list on my portfolio & meet the families & winemakers that pour their heart and soul into crafting their wines.
I am no master sommelier, and I don't pretend to be, I just love wine, and believe these artisan winemakers should be celebrated, therefore my wine descriptions are more of an emotion than a detailed description.
My goal is to build a 'friendship' between the wine makers and the wine drinkers. Many of the wines listed are produced in tiny quantities and therefore by becoming a 'friend' of a winery you will always be prioritised on any new releases.
